We live so fast, it dyes our brains, And we can’t come back and we can’t remain, ‘Cause love moves on when time stands still, And I won’t cry and this is not real. Take me down, take me down, never let go of my hand. Take me down, take me down, as I begin to understand. Take me down, take me down, like you wanted to before. Take me down, take me down, ‘cause you give me hell and I want more. Take me down, take me down, past the people looking for, Looking for the door. You’re burning up; the good die young, And letting go, while I’ve just begun, And in the glade I heard birdsong, And I think somewhere, a baby’s born. Take me down, take me down, never let go of my hand. Take me down, take me down, as I begin to understand. Take me down, take me down, like you wanted to before. Take me down, take me down, ‘cause you give me hell and I want more, And I’m looking for the door. And when you gaze into my gaze, Do you only see your face? You say you’re charmed by your own spell, But do you love me as well? I can’t tell. Take me down, take me down, let my tears run down your chest, Take me down, take me down, you always know what’s best. Take me down, take me down, how can I live without a heart? Take me down, take me down, how can I live when we’re apart? Take me down, take me down, never let go of my hand. Take me down, take me down, as I begin to understand. Take me down, take me down, like you wanted to before. Take me down, take me down, ‘cause you give me hell and I want more. Looking for the door.

We talk of diamonds and of starlet-spangled banner holders, Dreams we’ve had of hockey in the rain. We cast our eyes over our beautifully dead connections, Pretending that we’ll fall in love again. Who are your eyes for my dear? Who would you die for my dear? I am just an honest man, Searching for some other plan. I never see you waiting for the truth that you’re past stating, Neither do I know you’ll wait and see, And if you’re also waiting, know my dear, it’s complicated; All I have to offer you is me. Who are your eyes for my dear? Who would you die for my dear? I am just an honest man, Searching for some other plan, And if it’s you and me, it’s you and me, And if it’s not, it’s not, And I’ll move on easily. Who are your eyes for my dear? Who would you die for my dear? I am just an honest man, Searching for some other plan, And if it’s you and me, it’s you and me, And if it’s not, it’s not, And we’ll have to wait and see. Is it really only that you and I, we’re both so lonely, Is it we’re still lounging in our pain? Or are we more dependent, ever night, every second, Every word on hockey in the rain?

Alone Alone 02:53
I’ll be spending Christmas time alone, alone, Yes I’ll be spending Christmas time alone, alone. Deck the halls with holly; sing your carols old, But I’ll be spending Christmas time alone. Last year on my Christmas list, I wrote, I wrote, I wrote that I should wish to have you home, have you home. So deck the halls with holly, sing your carols old, But I’ll be spending Christmas time alone. The snow it falls much thicker now, alone, alone. A silent blanket o’er my quiet home, quite alone. So deck the halls with holly, sing your carols old, But I’ll be spending Christmas time alone. Yet still I dream I’ll have you here, alone, alone. Bringing merriment and cheer, alone, alone. So deck the halls with holly, sing your carols old, But I’ll be spending Christmas time alone. I’ll be spending Christmas time alone, alone, Yes I’ll be spending Christmas time alone, alone. Deck the halls with holly; sing your carols old, But I’ll be spending Christmas time alone, alone, I’ll be spending Christmas time alone, alone, I’ll be spending Christmas time alone…

Walk Away 03:50
Wake up Sunday morning; I’ve been expecting you to come. The sky is sweetly grey again, but the rain is almost done. I am bored of wandering; I’m gonna rest here for a while. Open up your heart to me; let me see you smile. But if you’re bored of this display, And yet another day, If you’re bored of me, don’t say, Just walk away. Oh shimmering telescope, built for our advance, Have you ever wanted to see the world? Have you ever wanted to dance? Oh humble metropolis, bored of your commute, Will you rise into the air and glide away into the blue? ‘Cause if you’re bored of this display, And infinite repeating days, If you’re bored of it all, don’t say, Just walk away. And are you having fun up there, While we’re killing time down here, Or do you fly forever to your dismay? Either way, I’m bored of this display, And all the looping days, And if you’re bored as me, don’t say, Just walk away.

Permanent 04:30
I get migraines, I feel certain to be reclaimed. Mistaken my name, for redemption’s fickle game. But I don’t want to change; I want to keep this way. Don’t make me change; I’ll make a stand today. I’m solitary ground, enlightened by the rising rays. I’m homeward bound, but I don’t care about delay. I don’t want to change; I want to keep things this way. I don’t want to change… Is it too late? Is it too late? Establish this, or command the day. I found a way, but is it too late? I want to hold on to this. What I’ve arranged, be certain you will not be named. I wish I was stone – then you wouldn’t move me further away. I don’t want to change; I want to keep things this way. I don’t want to change, and certainly not today. Is it too late? Is it too late? We hoped for this, and now it’s come your way. I cannot say, I cannot say. I want to hold on to this. Don’t take me home, this is where I want to stay. I’d wish I was stone, but the experience would not be the same. Don’t let me change; I want to stay this way. I don’t want to change; I don’t want to change… Don’t make me change, don’t make me change…

The rain fell all day, You said that we'd send it away, So I waited for the wind, To blow my hair in, Into something quite less strange. The rain never stopped today, Though you said it would soon blow away, And you smiled and said, "I'll be on my way." Things are not as bad as they seem, Things are not so bad as they seem.

about

Seen as though I haven't released anything since February I thought it were time I shared the sort of stuff I've been working on. Here is Birdsong, a cute little acoustic affair that's very unfinished. In the mean while stay tuned for massive announcements on the White Psychic Circles front. Also, make sure to subscribe to my SoundCloud account, where you can hear outtakes from the All Human sessions and occasional songs I've been producing in the mean time. soundcloud.com/toby-jackson-1

Never fear, I'll be back on the synths soon.
